2025 Annual Report

Beautiful view of the river and mountains.

2025 brought a wave of change to the foundation—much of it behind the scenes. We began the year with new staff, bringing fresh ideas and a renewed focus on using technology more efficiently and effectively. Carrie stepped into the roles of CEO and vice president, and we welcomed four new program officers. Our board members also deepened their leadership in the community, serving as active partners in the causes closest to them.

The foundation fulfilled 14 long-term grant commitments totaling more than $13 million—honoring our word and seeing successful projects to completion. Doing so created space to invest in new efforts with significant scale, made possible through strategic partnerships.

The foundation is committed to doing things differently, knowing that real impact happens through strong collaboration and a willingness to challenge traditional approaches. This year, we focused on identifying opportunities that change lives and are ready to scale, transforming communities in the process.

We couldn’t do this work without our co-funding partners, with whom we invest side by side. Through investments in nonprofit technology, our support helped extend services, reaching an additional 10 million people. In another example, an organization grew its annual reach from 200,000 to more than 2 million, demonstrating how these tools can expand outcomes while keeping people at the center.

By funding intentional, scalable solutions, MFF aims to help people reach their highest potential—offering a hand up, not a handout—and grow what truly works.

Each number below represents a life, and together, they reflect the impact of this work.
